To \”celebrate\” last night\’s surprise Toronto Transit strike, let\’s all download this rider-modified TTC subway routemap. Here\’s the scoop, from the TTC Subway Rider Efficiency Guide:

On February 22, 2006, John Martz created a hilarious TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) Subway Map with each station\’s name as an anagram. The map, inspired by a similar anagram map of London\’s Tube, was an instant hit among Toronto\’s online community. Within a few days though, a TTC lawyer sent a cease and desist letter to John citing intellectual property laws and threatening legal action if he didn\’t pull it from his website.

In the years that have followed, I\’ve noticed this thing popping up all over the place (including the original author\’s site). It looks as though the TTC has cooled its jets (literally and figuratively), and it also looks like the original London anagram-map has inspired many others…

This company sells happiness as a part of their advertising. I mean who wouldn\’t be happier if something cleans your dirty business in the toilet at the push of the button?

UPDATE: Looks like HDCYT (director of the famous Harry and Charlie videos) has beaten Busted Tees at their own game by creating his own shirts on Zazzle. As HDCYT states, \”I will put any profits towards the boys college funds and rehab clinic expenses.\” What a great dad/mom/caregiver! Still, I\’d feel a bit creepy wearing someone else\’s kids on a shirt.

The Amazing Shape is a simple idea, well executed: draw one picture a day and post it, using a T-Shirt as the backdrop. This one doesn\’t count. (via FormFiftyFive.com)

I just downloaded the 5-page Design Police kit. I can\’t wait to run this through a colour laser printer with sticker-paper. These are awesome for any Creative Director. Or use them on your next piece of junk mail. Or better yet, use them when you\’re on public transit reading a crappy free paper and leave your typographical wisdom for the next commuter. I can\’t tell you HOW many times I wish I\’d had a USE A LIGATURE sticker.

Really! I can\’t believe that we still don\’t have a legal way of obtaining one of these butes… I mean come on Rogers, urghh!!! Not that I really need another iPhone but I would really love not having to Hackunlock it every time there\’s a new update to the software.

Just get it here already! Apple will for sure cut down on the unlockers percentage on the market.
